Hatch coffee roasters is a hi

Hatch coffee roasters have been my favourite Canadian specialty roaster since I was offered a sip of a cooled down cup of their El Paraiso Lychee from a barista at Pilot Coffee Roasters. Since then, I’ve added it to my to-do list whenever I visit Canada. This time around, a friend of mine was in the Toronto area for about a month, and I used the opportunity to snag another bag, as well as another goodie that you’ll see at the end of this article.

Where to find Hatch beans

At the date of this publishing, Hatch don’t have their own coffee shop, but there are a few ways of getting your hands on their goods.

Roastery

Their roastery is located in Markham, Ontario and is definitely worth the visit if you have access to a car, which is about 30min away by car from Downtown Toronto. The space showcases their wide range of products, including coffee equipment and is a great opportunity to sample their complete range of coffee.

Website

Hatch offers free shipping to most major cities within the US and Canada from orders of 3 coffees. Any orders under 3 coffees includes a standard shipping rate of 10$ (CAD). They offer international shipping rates, which vary. Details can be found on their website.

Coffee Shops

I’ve only visited one coffee shop that serves their beans so far, and it is absolutely worth the trip. Graination is Toronto’s leading photo lab but serves exclusively Hatch roasted beans in their cafe that greets you at the entrance. It’s located just outside of Chinatown, so it’s very accessible if you are in the area. I had a fantastic experience before the shop closed. The barista was extremely, knowledgeable, attentive and engaging, and even offered a cup from a sample a friend brought in.

Mini Cans - Maple Oatado - A can of maple oat coffee featuring a cartoon canadian beaver holding a canadian flag and wearing a mounty outfit

Bonus: Mini Cans - Maple Oatado

Origin: This batch was made with Blackout

Ingredients: Water, Oat Base, Coffee, Maple Syrup, Canola Oil, Dipotassium Phosphate, Calcium Carbonate, Natural Flavours, Sea Salt

While I was scrolling through the site, the cutie on this can caught my eye and I knew I had to give it a try. Maple as a sweetener isn’t very common where I live, so why not add this to the mix?
